What is OpcEnum?
In order for an OPC Client application to discover and/or connect to OPC servers on a remote machine, it needs to access important registry information. For performance and security reasons, the OPC client connects to a ‘proxy’ application called OpcEnum to get this information. If an OPC client can not browse the list of servers on a remote machine, it is typically a result of authentication failure to the OpcEnum application.
